TThank you for visiting the Grove Lower Elementary Webpage! The Lower Elementary received a new coat of paint on many walls this summer. The new paint makes our school look like one building! I would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to Pastor Mike Whitney of COS who asked how his church could help our school and then organized the painting project. The many members who spent countless hours working to complete the project before school began deserve a BIG THANK YOU as well. This act of kindness supports our efforts to instill “Ridgerunner Pride and Character” in our students and staff. The student population at the Lower Elementary is currently 575. We have 36 highly qualified, certified faculty members and 27 experienced, caring support personnel. The faculty and staff at Grove Lower Elementary collaborate to set high goals and expectations for our students. They motivate and inspire each child to reach those goals and expectations. They create a learning environment where students become critical thinkers, effective communicators, problem solvers, and independent learners while maintaining respect for themselves and others. The parental and community support that our site receives is outstanding. It is a major factor contributing to our academic success. We are very proud that our site received an “A”on the State Report Card. One half of our grade comes from attendance (PK-3), and the other half is calculated using the 3rd grade Reading and Math scores on the OCCT. We cannot maintain that grade without parental involvement and community support! If you have any extra time and would like to volunteer, please call, come by the office, or visit with your child’s teacher to arrange a time that best fits your schedule. I look forward to an amazing school year in a beautiful and newly painted building! Kelly Trumbull, Principal Together Everyone Achieves More
