Please join Superintendent Pat Dodson, members of the Grove School board, representatives from GH2 Architects, and Crossland Construction on Thursday, January 12, 2023 in the Performing Arts Center at 6pm for a Q&A session regarding the proposal.

Dedicated to public education, school board members across the state are committed to providing every opportunity possible to students in their community. January is School Board Recognition Month, providing local schools and communities the chance to honor Oklahoma’s more than 2,700 elected school board members for their dedication and service.
Grove school district has five school board members: Dr. James Rutter, Karen Dyer, Darrin Hill, Sheila Stogsdill, and Jerry Crossley.
“Our school board members not only share their time but their vision and voice to shape the direction of public education in Oklahoma,” Superintendent Pat Dodson said. “We are proud of our school board members and the dedication they have to making our district the best it can be. School Board Recognition Month is the time to say thank you and celebrate the accomplishments of our elected board members.”
In Grove, school board members develop policies and must make tough decisions on complex educational and social issues impacting the entire community. They bear the responsibility of managing an annual budget of $19 million dollars for more than 2,500 students, 350 employees and 5 buildings.
“During School Board Recognition Month, we hope you will join us as we take the opportunity to acknowledge our local board of education,” Dodson said. “At the January Board meeting we will recognize Dr. James Rutter, Karen Dyer, Darrin Hill, Sheila Stogsdill, and Jerry Crossley for their dedication to the Grove school district."

Starting Monday, January 9th all sites on the west campus (ECC, LE, UE and MS) will switch release times. This is done in order to equalize the instructional time for all GPS students across our sites and accommodate bus load sizes and routes. The HS release time remains the same.
We understand this change always causes traffic delays until everyone gets used to our new schedule. To aide in those delays we are asking ECC and LE parents NOT TO LINE UP EARLY TO PICK UP YOUR CHILDREN. Car lines at ECC and LE cause traffic delays and jams so that UE and MS parents can not clear out of the area.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time of transition.

All GPS sites will be sending home report cards from first semester on Friday, January 13, 2023. These will be sent home with students from their homeroom teachers.
